Kalends for macOS
Privacy Policy
Kalends collects no data, transmits no data, and contains no analytics, tracking or advertising. It makes no network connections of any kind.

What the app stores
Everything Kalends works with lives in a schedule file you create and choose where to keep — the roster, the service catalogue, the staffing rules, leave requests and the generated schedule itself. That file is an ordinary document on your Mac. Kalends reads and writes it, and nothing else reads it.
The app also remembers small preferences, such as which schedule you last had open and how the window was arranged. Those stay on your Mac, in the app's own storage.
What leaves your Mac
Nothing. Kalends has no servers, no accounts, no sign-in and no telemetry. It is distributed with the macOS sandbox enabled and without any network entitlement, which means the operating system itself will not permit it to make a network connection — this is not only a policy but a technical restriction you can verify.
Files leave your Mac only when you deliberately export or share them: a PDF you save, a calendar feed you hand to a colleague, a workbook you email. Those are your actions and your copies, and Kalends is not involved once they are written.
Personal information in your schedules
A clinical schedule contains people's names, working patterns and leave. That information is yours and your organisation's. It is never sent anywhere by the app, never seen by Opportunistic Labs, and never used for any purpose. If your organisation has rules about where such files may be stored, Kalends does not change them: it keeps everything in the document you chose.
Crash reports and diagnostics
Kalends does not gather diagnostics of its own. If you have turned on Apple's "Share with App Developers" setting in macOS, Apple may pass on anonymised crash reports. Those come from Apple, contain no schedule contents, and can be turned off in System Settings under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Children
Kalends is a professional scheduling tool for clinical departments. It is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the revised version will appear on this page with a new date. Any change that meant the app started collecting or transmitting data would be described here plainly and before it took effect.
